If you want to know what we've been doing since February when I went completely radio silent in this space it's been simple, really: sports. Yes, you can blame my lack of content on baseballs and soccer balls, track meets and toe shoes, basketball and softball and lacrosse and volleyball and ok, fine, my sport counts too: half marathon training.
Not all of those have been exclusively our families sporting events, I'm nothing if not mad supportive of my teenage friends and ALLLLL of their many activities, so between the Wigs and the Tats and the little McKee's and all our high school peeps we have averaged 12 games a week for the last three months. Plus practice. And batting cages. And optional soccer workshops. And yes, the list is never-ending.
I won't lie and say I'd wish it away because it's a dreamy existence watching people, my children included, use their bodies in such miraculous ways, but I would be lying if I didn't admit to wishing on a falling star for a personal chef since my diet these days basically consists of pretzels and nacho cheese at the snack bar.
Quinny our little soccer star!
WWE winner at the McKissick's--the first in their memory to win both the female and male matches.
My kids have such great friends in Fair Oaks, so so grateful for our soft landing in this area.
Baby sister is always trying to entertain herself at the baseball diamond.

We have LOVED watching these boys play this year, different teams but both in Majors.
I feel like I've attended a trillion track meets this year and it's been so fun cheering on these chicas!
Bea and softball are a good match!
March Madness for Ev and Quinny was SO FUN!
T chose track over swim team and he loved it--especially the high jump.
PR Half Marathon in the books for me. I LOVED running this race!
Loved stealing Avery to the field for a team scrimmage!
Majors means they can ump now and boy, have they LOVED it!
I adore teachers who love on my children, even when they don't have to. This is not Quinny's teacher but when she found out Quinn was a dodgers fan she set up a time for both of them to wear matching gear. Honestly made me pretty teary.
Quinny's team got first in their league last session of indoor and Quinn was the top scorer on the league leaderboard. Watching her play is such a treat.
She's looking like a teenager with all that makeup and I'm like WTH!
Supporting T's buddy Will for his Juniors game.
Softball in the rain was not what we were expecting in the middle of May, but these two thought it was pretty exciting!
Ash and I are still Orange Theory-ing three mornings a week at 5 am...even on birthdays!
Track is done, soccer's almost done and we're weeks away from finishing dance and baseball. I'll be ready to play and support again come fall but for now I'm feeling trunky for a summer full of fun!!!
