YW

A few weeks ago I was called to be the Young Women's President in my ward and it's been fun and entertaining and so stinking busy learning the ropes of this new position and loving on the girls. We've planned and executed stellar activities, had so many great Sunday lessons, we've gone to the temple and overall just grown closer as a group. OH. MY. GOSH. I love these girls! Getting to be there for them feels like I'm living my very best church life.

My children can bring me no greater joy than when they choose to be friends. I dropped Cora off at kindergarten and walked through a crowded play yard to see Quinny and Ev playing together and my mama heart started to burst. These two are so often oil and water, but sometimes they combine to make the very best vinaigrette!

Middle McKee's Visit Sac

Jordan and Mad let me borrow their babies for a few days while they celebrated their 9th anniversary in San Francisco and we had the best time. I ache for my Utah nieces and nephew so having them here was a dream come true. We did a lot of normal stuff--shuttled kids around to school and practices--but we also fit in some fun like trips to the park, treats, and picking out whatever toy they wanted at the store. They are the most well-behaved, polite and delightful children and I would keep every last one of them if I could!

Eventually their parents came back and then we spent a week together, playing playing and more playing. This was a make-up for our cancelled Covid family reunion from the summer. I wish life would slow down a bit so we could've had more adventures, but we made the most of our busy schedules and the cousins especially cherished every last second of our time spent together. Notables for me were breaking Quinny and Coco out of school for a trip to Apple Hill, the bounce house on Quinny's birthday that literally provided HOURS of fun and the nasty jelly bean game the adults played on their last night here. Gosh, I love my family. It was so fun to be together!!!

Chase making my apple-picking dreams come true!

Loved having some time with these girls.

T had a lot of supporters at his cross country meet!

The triplets--gosh these three are magic!
