Halloween this year looked like a family party at our house. There was lots of delicious food, thanks to Kate and Brendan the world's greatest kiddie carnival, trick-or-treating from door to door around our pad (the one and only time I'm grateful for all seven entrances to our house, haha!) and movie-viewing late into the evening. We didn't go neighborhood trick or treating, nor get a single knock on our door, but the adults all gathered around the table and played card games while the kids counted and traded candy bars and everyone kept commenting about how this was the greatest Halloween we've ever had. So much of 2020 has been on my bad list, but I'm feeling this 2020 Halloween situation and I wouldn't be sad at all if next year we do it on repeat...minus the mandatory quarantine.
Homemade root beer for the winning, winning, winnnnn!
I know I don't make things easy, especially when Chase and Meghan ask me what they can bring to the party and I say a watermelon with sharp teeth that looks like a monster, but oh my gosh did they deliver!!!
Not only did Kate bring the chili and all of the games, but she also brought face painting supplies and let the kids pick anything for her to paint on their faces. Oh. My. Gosh. She is magical!!!
Candy coma!
