Mac became T's friend while we were in the hospital for Evie's birth and subsequent surgery and has been much-adored ever since. I've never met a Cars lover as devoted as Talmage, and even though he's played with Mac less and less in the last few years he could never imagine parting ways with him. Until a few days ago, that is. We came home with all of our Christmas loot and in an effort to make more space T decided that it was time for Mac to find a new home. I'm a purger by nature and love to get rid of things, but even my hard heart bled a little nostalgic as Mac was put in the Goodwill pile (full Toy Story 3 moment!) I made T take a picture before we said goodbye, and in true Marie Kondo fashion thanked Mac for his service to our family. Onward and upward is one way to say it, too big, too soon is the other.
