A shower for Care

Jim's sister Carolyn is due to have her first baby, a little girl, in December and we couldn't be more thrilled for the new arrival. We went back to Sacramento this weekend for a family baby shower and it was great to see everyone and especially to shower Care, Bryce and our newest niece (in utero!) with some love. Ah man, I can't wait to meet her!

We started the weekend with my padres, who introduced us to this awesomely delicious taco shack called Chandos. It's in the heart of the ghetto, the employees speak practically no english, and they were by far the yummiest tacos I have ever eaten. By far. Delicious.

I am literally salivating over that picture. My favorite taco was filled with carne asada and had lots of fresh lime. Oh man. Let's go again Mom and Dad. Soon!

Jim was wearing the perfect shirt for the occasion. And notice the mustache? That will be explained in a different post. Oh bother.

Care's shower was nice. We played a quiz and learned the craziest facts (for instance, did you know that on record, the largest number of children born to one woman is 69. 69 children! AHH). Evie also got lots of love and attention. Here he is posing like a champ with Honey and Grandpa.

Little T-Man with Papa, Great-Papa and GG. Papa entertained Talmage for hours (outside, inside, trains, swings, potato head, piano, goofy, you name it) and GG put on a wonderful party.

T and his Papa (and his white blanket, of course!)

The four of us at the party.

T was in heaven with the party-food. He is not really a meal-kid, but definitely a snack-kid! He ate cookies and crackers and fruit and drank lots of juice. He loved it.

After everyone left, Everett was able to get on the floor and Talmage entertained him. Evie loves his brother a lot, a lot and it melts my heart everytime I see the way he looks at him. Talmage is such a good big brother and really enjoys playing with Ev. I sure lucked out!

Anyway, happy baby shower to Care and hooray for a new niece. We're counting down the days!
